Drone Videography

Aerial and interior drone videography that captures the shots no ground camera can.

A drone is one of the most versatile cameras on any production. Perlow Productions uses large camera drones and smaller FPV drones as a creative tool on set, capturing angles and camera moves that are impossible from the ground. A single shot can begin at eye level with your CEO, rise above the building and reveal the entire campus. It can track your team, your product or your vehicles in motion, then slip through a doorway and keep going. It is the same drone work we bring to the national TV commercials we produce for Grundy Insurance, and every flight is planned as part of the larger video, so each shot moves the story forward.

FPV Flights Through Tight Interior Spaces

Some of our most memorable shots happen indoors, in spaces where no larger drone or camera operator could follow. Our small FPV drone can fly a few feet above your team as they walk down a narrow hallway, glide along a production line or pass through a doorway into the next department, all in one continuous shot. At Epicur Pharma and Stokes Pharmacy, it carried viewers through a working pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, giving customers a tour of a plant they could never walk themselves.

We plan every interior flight with your facility and safety teams: when production is running, which areas are off limits, who will be on camera and how we stay clear of your equipment. Your operation keeps moving, and your audience sees it from a perspective they have never had before.

Facilities and Manufacturing

Corporate Manufacturing Aerials

Interior and exterior drone footage that shows the full scale of a manufacturing operation.

Epicur Pharma and Stokes Pharmacy

An FPV drone flight that takes viewers through a pharmaceutical plant they could never walk themselves.

Prince Sterilization Services

Campus aerials open this capabilities video for a pharmaceutical and medical device sterilization company.

ZT Systems

Aerial and ground-level footage of a hyperscale data center server maker, in a recruiting video the company also uses as its overview for potential customers.

The Okonite Company

Drone footage of an employee-owned cable manufacturer, woven through its corporate overview video.

MicroLogic

An indoor drone shot inside a car wash systems manufacturer.

Commercials and Landmarks

Grundy Insurance

Behind the scenes of the drone work for one of the national TV commercials Perlow Productions produced for Grundy Insurance, with Jim Grundy on location. Aerial and tracking shots like these give a commercial its production value.

New Jersey State Capitol

An aerial tour of the State Capitol in Trenton, produced for the Capitol and featured on the home page of one of its websites.

Campuses and Camps

Many of our summer camp videos rely on drone videography. See more on our Summer Camp Videos page.

Spring Lake Day Camp

A 4K drone tour that shows families the entire camp before they ever visit.

JCC Camps at Medford

An aerial tour that combines high and low drone footage of every key area of camp.

The Village Charter School

A campus tour that combines drone and ground-level videography.

“It’s just amazing how many people come up to our staff at the car shows and say, ‘Oh my gosh, I saw you guys on TV. It looked great. Tell us more.’ So it works.”

Professional Aerial Cinematography

  • Cinematic movementSmooth, compound moves such as parallax shots, orbits and slow reveals give the frame depth, rather than a simple flyover.
  • True scalePlacing people against a building, a campus or a production floor shows your audience exactly how large your operation is.
  • Storytelling from the airAerial shots connect scenes, establish a location and set the pace of the video, so every flight serves the story.
  • Technical precisionWe capture in 4K, use neutral density filters to keep motion natural and record in professional color profiles that give the editor full control. Every flight is planned with care, because cinematic drone work takes time to do well.

One Flight, Many Uses

A strong aerial or flythrough rarely appears only once. The same footage can open your corporate video, loop behind the headline on your homepage, play at your trade show booth, introduce your recruiting video and give your sales team a memorable visual for customer and investor presentations. When the production wraps, we copy all of the raw footage onto a drive you provide, so your marketing team has a library of aerial footage to draw on long after the project is delivered.

Drone Footage Inside a Larger Production

Aerial footage is most persuasive when it is part of a story. For Prince Sterilization Services, aerials of the company’s more than 100,000-square-foot New Jersey campus open a capabilities video that then moves inside to cleanrooms, packaging lines and sterilization equipment. For ZT Systems, footage on the ground and in the air became a recruiting video that the company also uses as its overview for potential customers. Because we handle the full production, from planning and interviews through videography and editing, the drone work and the ground-level work are designed to fit together from the very first conversation.

Before We Fly

Our drone pilots are FAA-certified commercial remote pilots under Part 107, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request. Before production, we review the location and its airspace, secure any FAA authorization the site requires and plan each flight around your people, your traffic and the weather. Mike Perlow personally handles every call and stays your main point of contact from the first conversation through the final edit, so you always know exactly who is responsible for your production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your drone pilots licensed and insured?

Yes. Every pilot holds FAA Part 107 certification, and we provide a certificate of insurance for your facility or legal team on request.

What is the difference between a camera drone and an FPV drone?

A larger camera drone flies smoothly and holds steady, which suits wide aerials, slow reveals and establishing shots. A small FPV drone is built to fly close and precise, so it can travel through doorways, hallways and production areas in one continuous shot.

Can you fly a drone inside our facility?

Yes, including tight spaces such as hallways, labs and production areas. We plan every indoor flight with your facility and safety teams before production day.

Our facility is near an airport. Can you still fly?

Often, yes. Many business locations sit inside controlled airspace. We check the airspace for every location in advance and secure any FAA authorization required, so you know early what is possible.

What happens if the weather does not cooperate?

Drones cannot fly safely in heavy wind or rain, so we watch the forecast closely and build flexibility into the schedule to move aerial shots to another day when needed.

Does drone work add much to the cost of a production?

It depends on the location, the airspace and the shots your story needs. Mike will scope the drone work with you on the first call, so it is clearly reflected in your proposal.

Do we get the raw drone footage?

Yes. All raw footage is copied onto a drive you provide at the end of the production.

Do you provide drone videography outside New Jersey?

Yes. Perlow Productions is based in Marlton, New Jersey, and works with clients across the Greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey and New York, as well as nationwide.
